Pin stripeing is the perfect accessory for dressing up your pinewood
derby car and is great for many other uses as well.
Custom Finishing Kits were designed as accessory kits especially
for Pine Car, Sailboat Racer, Spacewood Derby, and other hobby
projects. These accessory kits are ideal for finishing wood, plastic, or
metal parts, as well as pinewood derby cars. The accessory kits
include three grades of sandpaper, sanding block, sealer/paint, applicator,
gloss finish, and complete instructions for a glossy waterproof finish.
Pinewood derby metal casting parts may be painted with model or acrylic
paint to really dress up that pine car! Glue them to the pine car using
tacky or super glue.
Templates are used to help shape the wood. The template is
laid on the block and traced with a pencil, as per the instructions. The
car is then cut and carved into shape. This
